One month. Thirty days. Thirty episodes.
This Ramadan, we honor the timeless, all-time classic Middle Eastern folk tales “Alf Layla Wa Layla” that served as the main inspiration for us to create something completely new, extremely different and astonishingly eye-catching for one of our most interesting brands.
“Alf Layla Wa Layla” has been a celebrated source of storytelling in the Middle East for centuries. The legendary folk tales told by Shahrazad to King Shahryar for 1001 nights have been passed down from one generation to the next and many are still part of today’s popular culture.
This Ramadan we pay homage to this storytelling device by presenting Netflix’s 1000 and 1 episodes where a different story is featured every night throughout the holy month of Ramadan. With those stories, we showcase different Netflix original series and familiarize the watcher with the series without completely spoiling them.
The most impressive part about this one month campaign was that it had increased the page’s fan-base and had actually gotten us community members treating 1001 episodes as an actual show and waiting for the coming episodes.
From the sparkling chiffon costumes and spectacular headpieces to the flawless background music and spot-on language, the videos are an Arabian Nights dream come true.
